Governor Ramesh Bais stopped at Petarwar for some time on his way from Ranchi to Dhanbad on Saturday. Governor Ramesh Bais inaugurated the Palash Mart in Petarwar on Monday on his way to Deoghar. The products manufactured by the Sakhi Mandals of the Rural Development Department will be sold here. Earlier, when the Governor reached the Forest Guest House at Petarwar, he was given a guard of honor. Deputy Commissioner Kuldeep Chaudhary, Superintendent of Police Chandan Jha, Deputy Development Commissioner and other senior administrative officers were present on the occasion. Jagjivan Ji Maharaj Eye Hospital became a boon for the poor.
A free cataract eye check-up camp was organized on Monday in Gobindpur D Panchayat Secretariat premises in collaboration with Lions Club Bokaro Thermal Branch on behalf of Pujya Tapasvi Jagjivan Ji Maharaj Chakshu Chikitsalaya Petarwar. The camp was inaugurated by Sadhvi Darshana and Swati.
Dr. DK Gupta and Dr. Pritish Pranay examined the eyes of a total of 345 patients who reached the camp. Cataract was found in 49 patients. His operation was done at Petarwar Eye Hospital and the lens was implanted. Jai Manek Darshan Seva Trust Bhawanipur Kolkata and District Blindness Control Committee Bokaro borne the cost of investigation and operation. Trustee of the institution Shantilal Jain, manager Rajendra etc. were engaged to make the camp a success. (as on 2020).
