List of Schools in India

India has over 20 lakh schools, which are categorized as government, private, or partially aided by the state or central government. The number of schools varies from 45 to 2.5 lakh across the 29 states and 7 union territories. Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of schools, with more than 2.5 lakh schools in the state. In contrast, Lakshadweep has only 45 schools, which seems sufficient for this small union territory. To access the list of schools in a particular state, click on the state, and you will be directed to a list of all the districts in that state. From there, you can access the list of all the blocks in the district and, subsequently, a list of schools in the block.
