Ashtanga Yoga Ireland
Gillian is the only Level 2 Authorised teacher in Ireland, qualified to teach both the Primary and Intermediate series. She started studying at the source of Ashtanga Yoga in Mysore, India in 2005 where she has made 15 individual trips studying under the guidance of her teacher, R. Sharath Jois.
Gillian started teaching in 2006 and she has a strong following of dedicated students both in Ireland and internationally. She also trains and mentors many of Ireland's yoga teachers through her popular Intensive Courses. She is a dedicated practitioner and is currently learning the Advanced A series.
Gillian has also studied the Philosophy of Yoga and Sanskrit under the guidance of Sri. M.A.Narasimhan and Dr. M.A. Jayashree at the Anantha Research Foundation Mysore, India, and received their blessings to teach in 2007.
She is deeply passionate about bringing authentic teachings to her students, enabling them to develop a sustainable and lifelong yoga practice.
ABOUT ASHTANGA YOGA
Ashtanga Yoga is a traditional system of yoga proven to provide transformative effects on a physical, mental and spiritual level.
The practice involves synchronising the breath with the movement of postures, transforming the practice into a moving meditation. The Ashtanga Yoga system is tailored on an individual level which results in improved circulation, a strong body and a calm mind.
