Can I cancel trips at Voyage Prive, the private holiday club?

That Voyage Privé is one of the best options to find cheap trips nobody doubts it, especially if we are looking for discounts in hotels, trips that usually in case we go out of budget.

What do I mean by this? Both the trips and the hotels that Voyage Privé usually offers are “high-end”. These are 4 and 5 star hotels that are generally excellent.

And what if we want to cancel the trip?

Who do I have to contact to proceed with the cancellation of the trip?

This is the e-mail: mipedido@voyageprive.com, where you have to send the cancellation letter.

What are the cancellation conditions?

The usual ones in many travel agencies. We have several cases:

Reservation of loose hotel or apartment

1. You must pay 100% of the management fees of Voyage Prive.
2. Cancellation fees: More than 48 hours before arrival = 30% of the total amount of the stay. Between 48h and until arrival = 100% of the total amount of the stay. In case of non-appearance = 100% of the total amount of the stay.

We have up to 48 hours before the trip so as not to lose all our money.

Package Trip or Cruise

1. You must pay 100% of the management fees of Voyage Prive.
2. Cancellation fees: 5% of the total amount of the Package trip or cruise, if the cancellation occurs more than 10 and less than 15 days before the date of departure. 15% of the total amount of the Package trip or cruise, if the cancellation occurs between days 3 and 10 (both inclusive) prior to the date of departure. 25% of the total amount of the Package trip or cruise, if the cancellation occurs within 48 hours prior to departure.
3. Air tickets are never refundable and no modifications or cancellations are accepted.

The thing about plane tickets is unavoidable…

Is there a way not to lose all this money from my package?

Yes. There is a solution. You can endorse your trip to someone else (and have them pay you the cost of it…). As indicated in their cancellation policy:

The User (both the principal and the beneficiary) may transfer their reservation free of charge on the Package to any person who meets all the conditions required for it. The assignment must be communicated in writing to VPE at least 7 days before the start date of the trip and 15 days for cruise trips.

Come on, all you have to do is convince your family member or friend to pay you the price of the trip, and communicate it to Voyage Privé.

Problem with this? That airline tickets are non-transferable, so you lose that money… Nor can the contracted insurance be transferred.
