” my mother was diagnosed with cancer nearly a year back. i got her treated from Artemis. there are three doctors in oncolgy dept. namely Dr. Ashok Vaid, Dr. Mrs Tejinder kataria and Dr. Deepak sarin.Dr. ashok vaid is a medical oncology guy , but since day one his attitude is to give no hope to the patient whatsoever. always making grim faces, knowing fully well that the disease he is dealing with, the patient needs hope more than anything else. no ones asking him to give guaranatees, but atleast if doctor is positive , patient do gets the willingness to battle cancer.Dr. tejinder kataria: another highly qualified, money making machine. half the time Madam is on leave. her prime Role is of radiation therapy for cancer. she only attends the patients on day one of the booking for treatment. then her further role is to plan the treatment and execute the radiation therapy. but once the patient has paid the initial sum of booking a very expensive radiation therapy, Madam is found mostly in Out patient Dept attending to new Patients. Old ones are getting radiated by new comers and south indian lab technicians (who are looking at the clock to finish the day and go home). when some goof-up happens , she is the first one to wash her hand, saying the disease is so, and suggetsing expensive alternative therapies, which are actually of no use once the primary treatment has failed.Dr. deepak sarin . Gem of a Guy. the best ENT i have come across. will not lie to the patient , happy and cheerful always.most of the time he is Operation Theater , doing high level surgeries, but words are just not enough to describe this guy. Dr. Vaid got Padmashree recently but my Padmashree will go to Dr.sarin year after year.I wish to sue Artemis hospital, but that is not going to save my mother, who is living on painkillers. i will be an orphan once she is gone, but the fact remains, that she could be saved, if Dr. vaid and particularly Dr. kataria had done their job honestly.
