It is difficult to determine the exact number of electric vehicle (EV) companies worldwide as the industry is rapidly evolving and new companies are constantly emerging. However, as of my knowledge cutoff in 2021, some of the largest and well-known EV companies include Tesla, Nissan, Chevrolet, BMW, Volkswagen, and Hyundai. There are also many smaller, niche EV companies and startups, as well as established automakers that are investing in and expanding their electric vehicle offerings.
